Tutukaka Coastie draws positive feedback

The Coastie, arguably NZ's smallest coastal newsletter, is growing!
Week2 - Issue 2 is out - double the size as issue 1. The print run of 1000 copies goes to nearly 800 T-Coast letterboxes, the shops, businesses and cafes on the T-Coast and is distributed at the Saturday Market in Whangarei.

Early days yet but Community response so far has been very encouraging. People not only notice the publication but like what they see and want to contribute to it.
Advertisers are now calling spontaneously when they receive The Coastie in their mailbox and contact us to place adverts.

I have been busy researching & writing relevant content, designing Coastie adverts for people, introducing the idea to local and Whangarei businesses and nutting out the actual workflow to make all this happen on a weekly basis alongside my other commitments (sheer madness).

There are calls and emails from people wanting to contribute locally relevant content and many cheers from the coastal community. The most encouraging statements I get are "What a cool idea", "The Coast really needed something like this" and "good on you for taking it on"
So it's full steam ahead to issue Nr 3 which is due to go to print on Saturday. It will be delivered next week ...

By the way, Electronic back isssues of the Coastie can now be viewed in the Coastie archive in pdf format
